Bernard Bigham has headed the Chesapeake Environmental Group, Inc. since 1997.
He began his environmental career in 1976 and started working for state and local regulatory agencies both in the field and later in upper management positions. He then worked for years with private environmental remediation firms. He has been a certified SP001 inspector since 2010.
He has provided services to the asphalt industry for over 25 years and serves as a technical adviser to the National Asphalt Pavement Association on storage tanks.
He has experience with the UIC, CERCLA, RCRA and UST/LUST Programs. In addition, he has served on several USEPA NESHAP work groups on petroleum emissions.
