Charles (CJ) Hineman, CSP, CIH, was presented the 2025 Patrick Kennedy Leadership Award on Wednesday, September 23rd during the STI/SPFA Future|Now Conference in Nashville, TN. This award recognizes the late Pat Kennedy’s devotion to the industry and exemplary leadership within STI/SPFA and the steel fabrication industry. Each year nominations are submitted and winners are selected by the Emerging Leaders Committee.

CJ is Vice President at Fisher Tank Company and is a leader in the industry in safety and health. He has spearheaded a number of initiatives for STI/SPFA including revisions of the safety handbooks, participating in STI/SPFA’s safety videos, and leading STI/SPFA’s efforts to submit comments on the OSHA heat rule. Hineman has been a part of the association’s legislative advocacy efforts including trips to Washington D.C. to meet with several key Congressional offices.

CJ holds a degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health (OSEH) from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and has been with Fisher Tank Company for almost 19 years.
