(24) 30,000 Gallon Horizontal Tanks With SP Greater Than 1.0

Quantity (24) 30,000 gallon Horizontal Single Wall UL-142 process tanks with specific gravity up to 1.22 g/cm^3. Tanks featured recent technology provisions added to UL-142 10th edition for tanks with specific gravity greater than 1.0. This required licensed structural engineering work and further approval through UL. In total 720,000 gallons of process chemical storage delivered to one single location.

The tanks hold chemical contents ranging in specific gravity from 1.0 to 1.22 grams/cm^3. The tanks were started, completed, delivered and installed at one single location, within a four month time-frame. Specially designed paint carts were designed for this project. This project was made possible due to a recent indoor sandblasting facility addition to our property. The result of the additional engineering work was thicker steel and heavy duty saddles. In total, 500,000 pounds of American made steel, 400 gallons of paint, and 3,300 labor hours went into this project. The company that took delivery of these tanks is a manufacturer of a good that touches the lives of everybody, every single day. This was the biggest project in our company’s 71 year history.
