The LNG Export Facility Process Phase 1 project involved the construction of four highly specialized tanks, crucial to supporting European energy demands (this hybrid project combined API 650, NFPA, and AWWA specifications) showcasing advanced engineering and construction capabilities to meet the owner’s stringent requirements.
The project included three carbon steel tanks and one 304 stainless steel tank, each designed for specific purposes meeting Liquified Natural Gas export demand.

The Sheridan, Indiana project faced a particularly challenging winter schedule, as crews had to contend with significant weather adversities in addition to a very tight site. From an engineering perspective, it featured a uniquely designed flat roof, which is tailored to provide additional structural integrity.
Matt Prine, President of Indiana American Water, emphasized the importance of the project, stating, “Our responsibility to the community is to provide clean, safe and reliable water service, and on top of that, we are thinking about fire protection.”

This project consisted of several different size and wall thickness of pipe. Pipe sizes ranged from 123″ od to 48″ od. All the pipe was cement lined. There was very little coating on this project as a majority of the project was backfilled with flowable fill.
The pipeline line has several bends, elbows and outlets to divert from existing utilities and tie into the existing pipe already on the jobsite.
