This specification covers the requirements for manufacturing a steel tank using low pressure in the interstice for monitoring.  This system requires that the tank be double  wall  construction,  and capable  of withstanding  an  interstitial  operating pressure in excess of the potential hydrostatic pressure caused by burial.  This specification is only intended for use with systems fabricated under STI quality control.
