Water Storage Improvements Riley County RWD No. 1

Riley County Rural Water District #1 commissioned a new 200,000-gallon ground storage tank to meet growing demand and enhance system reliability for its service area in Riley County, Kansas. The tank features a 27-foot diameter and a 47’6” high water level, designed in accordance with AWWA D100 standards to ensure structural integrity and long-term performance.

The tank was coated with a high-performance Tnemec paint system, providing durability and corrosion protection suitable for potable water storage. Construction was completed in just 365 days, demonstrating efficient project management and adherence to quality standards. This storage facility strengthens the district’s ability to maintain system pressure, manage peak demands, and provide dependable water service for residents and businesses, representing a significant investment in local infrastructure and community resilience.
