The STI/SPFA Safety & Health Committee recently updated the Basic Safety Rules for Fabrication and Field Construction booklet. This publication provides safety rules covering a variety of topics including personal protective equipment, fall protection, confined space, welding, and many more.
“The Basic Safety Rules for Fabrication and Field Construction is an important industry tool. The rules cover a variety of topics applicable to fabrication, field erection and warehousing,” commented Shelley Brewer of Tank Industry Consultants and Co-Chair of the STI/SPFA Safety & Health Committee. “The STI/SPFA Safety & Health Committee reviews the booklet at least every five years to ensure the most current regulations are covered.”
These basic safety rules are not in any manner to be construed as superseding or supplementing any OSHA Regulations or any other applicable federal, state or municipal laws, regulations and ordinances.
The latest version of the Basic Safety Rules for Fabrication and Field Construction is available for purchase through the STI/SPFA store. The publication is also available in Spanish.
