STI/SPFA is pleased to announce that Coral Shaffer has been hired as Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper for the association. The position will be responsible for processing and maintaining financial transactions, records, and reporting for the Association.
Coral comes to STI/SPFA with 18 years experience in corporate finance. She previously worked at CDW starting in an AR position and working her way into a senior position owning financial reconciliation for multiple general ledgers. While there she gained her first experience in custom built software implementations.
In 2017 she accepted a role as an AP Analyst at Pactiv Evergreen. After one year she was promoted to AP Supervisor responsible for three direct reports. Shortly after Pactiv purchased a web-based automated invoice processing system named Basware. For the next year and a half Coral participated in the custom design, testing process, and go live of the Basware system. Coral’s team grew from three to twelve as she took on the transition of Evergreen’s AP team in North Carolina to Pactiv’s headquarters in Lake Forest, IL. She worked on multiple different projects during her time at Pactiv which prompted her to pursue her Scrum Certification in 2023.
