Steel Water Pipe Standards & Section Report – August 2026

July was a productive month for the Steel Water Pipe Section, with continued progress on several industry manuals and standards initiatives.

Committee meetings held during the UESI Pipelines Conference advanced work on the MOP 79 Penstocks manual, the new AWWA M86 manual, and the ASCE Seismic Design and Testing Manual.

These efforts reflect the section's continued commitment to improving technical guidance for the steel water pipe industry.
