Steve Pollock

Steve Pollock has been the Technical Manager for STI/SPFA since 2018. He ensures that steel tank fabrication standards used by Association members are maintained and updated for production of safe and reliable storage tanks.

As STI/SPFA Technical Committee liaison, Steve incorporates new designs and facilitates approvals of tank technologies. He serves on committees for national codes groups and research organizations for tank fabrication, fuel quality and compatibility. He is also responsible for STI/SPFA’s education and certifications programs, warranty testing, technical outreach, and managing high performing staff of the Technical Department.

Prior to STI/SPFA, Steve was a tank compliance inspector at Virginia DEQ for nearly 20 years. He worked with a wide range of tank facility owners and operators from neighborhood businesses to the largest Naval base in the world. Steve participated in the development of state code enforcement practices, stakeholder outreach, tank standards development, USEPA RIII training and national tank conferences.
