Jerry Schollmeyer was born and educated in a small community in Southwest Wisconsin. He received a B.S. degree in Comprehensive Industrial Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. In 1979, Jerry moved to Dubuque, Iowa to begin his career teaching Industrial Technologies at Dubuque Senior High School. After four enjoyable years teaching welding and metalworking, his career path led him to Morrison Bros. Co. In 1989, he became Sales Manager.
Jerry previously served as a member of Underwriters Laboratory Standards Technical Panel for storage tanks listings UL 142 and UL 2085. He is a past board member of the STI/SPFA (Steel Tank Institute and Steel Plate Fabricators Association) and a Past Commodore of the Julien Dubuque Yacht Club.
In 2024, Jerry was inducted into the STI/SPFA Hall of Fame.
In his spare time, Jerry enjoys convertible rides, boating on the Mighty Mississippi River with Marlene, his wife, as well as trap shooting, skiing, and snow shoeing. He enjoys gourmet cooking and puts his creativity to good use by creating his own greeting cards.
