This 5,000,000 gallon welded steel tank features a press-broke cone roof. It was erected as part of a booster pump station which included the tank, a booster pump station, and reservoir overflow pond. At 82′ tall and 106′ across, this tank 9 ring high tank stands large and majestic with its staircase going up 103 steps to the roof.

The tank included a cathodic protection system, and was designed to withstand winds as fast as 108 miles per hour, due to the high winds often experienced in the Tacoma area. And while the cold and wet Washington winter made this tank a challenge to erect, the inclement weather did not prevent the field crew from getting it done and into service serving the people of Washington.
