The surge system consist of 880′ of 60″ od pipe that ties into the main system with an 144″ x 60″ fabricated “TEE”. There is an elevation change of approximately 150′ from the existing tie-in to the termination of the 60″ stand pipe. The 60″ pipe was fabricated per AWWA C200 standards. A polyurethane was used for coating and lining to prevent corrosion per AWWA C222. The 132″ shroud is constructed with a high tensile strength COR10 steel which eliminates the need for a protective coating. Key features include Radiographic and Ultrasonic examination of all buttwelds.
