This storage tank rehabilitation project was completed on a 110-foot diameter by 32-foot tall steel tank and focused on extending service life while improving structural reliability and operational performance. The existing interior center structure and center column were fully removed and replaced with a three-column halo support system, providing improved load distribution and redundancy within the roof support structure. The interior rafter bracing system was also completely replaced, restoring structural integrity and ensuring long-term roof performance.
A new flush-type cleanout was installed near the existing overflow to improve maintenance access and sediment removal. The existing 30-inch shell manway was removed and replaced with a 36-inch shell manway to enhance safe entry and operational access, and the center vent was upgraded with a new 24-inch combination relief valve (CRV) to meet current operational and safety requirements.
As part of the rehabilitation, an interior mixing system was installed and integrated with the newly replaced inlet piping, improving water quality, circulation, and overall system efficiency while extending the functional life of the tank.
