Kent B Watson Plant Tank Project

This project consisted of a single welded steel tank constructed in Bryan, Texas. The new 1,000,000-gallon welded carbon steel tank is topped with an umbrella dome roof and includes a full perimeter roof handrail and standard tank appurtenances. The umbrella dome roof provides a rigid, self-supporting structure with efficient load distribution and long-term durability.

To improve construction efficiency and reduce on-site labor, the tank was shop blasted and primed prior to delivery. This approach minimized field surface preparation, reduced overall construction cost, and shortened the field schedule while maintaining coating quality and long-term performance.
