(14) Double Walled & Insulated Field Erected Wine Tanks – The inner tank is 30′-0″ dia x 30′-0″ high stainless-steel dimple jacketed, truncated roof with 4′ rise, flat sloping floor. The sidewall is insulated with 3″ of polyisocyanurate foam and cladded with a #4 polished stainless steel outer shell that is 30′-6″ dia. x 30′-6″ tall. The Roof is insulated with 6″ of polyisocyanurate foam and cladded with 12ga #4 polished stainless steel. These tanks were built from the top down using mig and tig welding processes.
The (10) dimple jackets on the inner tanks were spot welded and welded around the perimeter to seal the two pieces together. The dimple jacket is then inflated to create a void for the glycol to flow through. This jacketing allows the winery to control the temperature of the wine during fermentation all the way through bottling. Tanks were fabricated beneath (2) A-frames then moved to their final positions. In Total Over 290 Tons of stainless steel were used in the construction of these tanks. These fourteen tanks in total hold 2,379,818 gallons, enough wine to make 1,000,845 cases of wine or 12,010,148 bottles of wine.
