The Brookings Water Treatment Plant pulls groundwater from 9 wells into two separate water treatment plants facilities to remove dissolved iron, maganese, and reduce the hardness of the water. We supplied over 2,000 ft of pipe sized from 4.5″ diameter up to 30″ diameter of AWWA C200 steel water pipe for the treatment of groundwater inside the new North Water Treatment Plant. We utilized both fabricated fittings and smooth flow fittings to accommodate areas of limited space that were designed to keep from wasting space within the treatment facility.

Pipe and restraint: per AWWA C200 & M11
Interior Exposed Pipe Coating: primer coated with liquid epoxy
Pipe Lining: Cement Mortar per AWWA C205.
Flanges: AWWA Class D
Fittings & Joints: this project included (14) Flanged Couplings Adapters restrained per M11, (35) flexible couplings restrained per M11, and (7) Dismantling Joints.
