In 2022 the City of Lemont, Illinois contracted for a new 1,500,000 gallon “All-Steel”, single-pedestal spheroid style elevated water tank. The spheroid style was selected due to it’s sleek design, minimized footprint and lower maintenance costs due to its reduced surface area, as well as to match the style of the other elevated water storage tanks in the community.

The tank towers over 150 feet in the air and bears the logo of the City. It’s location on a well-traveled city street makes this tank very visible to people traveling in the area – especially those visiting the two nearby prestigious golf courses. And the high quality, long lasting Hydroflon top coated system should continue to enhance the appearance of this attractive landmark for years to come.

The 1,500,000 gallon spheroid with a 147′-6 top capacity line and 46′-0 head range will provide excellent water pressure for the needs of the community. It is truly a great looking elevated tank and the selection of a single pedestal spheroid style is a testament to the proven performance and durability of an “All Steel” elevated tank which will provide many years of service to the City and its’ consumers.
