600,000 Gallon Liquid Oxygen and 500,000 Gallon Liquid Nitrogen Tanks

This project consists of one (1) 600,000-gallon liquid oxygen, and one (1) 500,000-gallon liquid nitrogen storage tank constructed to support a grassroots $3.1B new steel mill in West Virginia along the Ohio River. The liquid oxygen tank stands 76′-6″ tall and is 49 feet in diameter while the liquid nitrogen tank is 72′-2″ high and 47 feet in diameter. The tanks incorporate a 201LN stainless steel inner tank paired with a carbon steel outer tank constructed in ten shell courses each. The design was optimized to fit a confined site footprint, carefully accommodating the customer’s plot plan without compromising capacity, safety, or performance. Built for reliability at scale, these tanks provides a high-integrity cryogenic gas storage solution where space efficiency and product quality are critical.
