Grainawi to speak at STLE diesel fluids seminar

STI Director of Technical Services Lorri Grainawi to speak at Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers North Texas Section diesel fluids seminar

STLE's North Texas Section is co-sponsoring a one-day technical seminar on diesel fluids, Nov. 4, 2014, 8 a.m. to 5 p. m., at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport in Dallas , Texas.

This training seminar is designed for owners and operators of diesel-powered equipment, which are used for fleet operations, heavy equipment in mining, construction , locomotive, military, marine ap­ plications and power generation.

The program features a team of industry experts that will provide participants with information on fuel, engine oil, coolant and DEF to help them get the most out of their equipment. Topics include the following:

  • Diesel engine (Advancements and future)
  • Diesel fluid overview (The new function and properties of fuel, engine oil, coolant, DEF)
  • Fluid performance (The criteria and specifications)
  • Bio-diesel
  • Fluid problems
  • Fluid analysis
  • Solutions to fluids problems
