Florida AST, UST proposed rules comment deadline extended

Florida DEP has extended the deadline for written comments on AST and UST rule development to January 31, 2014. The agency has stated that it will rely extensively rely on written comments. They also stated that there will be at least two additional workshops as the rule development process proceeds.

Rule Development Workshop for Rules
62.761 – Underground Storage Tank Systems &
62.762 – Aboveground Storage Tank Systems
The (State of Florida) Permitting and Compliance Assistance Program will be conducting workshops on the Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank rules on December 17, 2013. The workshop will begin with the Underground Storage Tank Systems rule from 8:30 a.m. until no later than 11:30 a.m. The workshop for the Aboveground Storage Tank Systems rule will begin at 1:00 p.m. until no later than 4:30 p.m. The Workshops will be held in Room 609, Bob Martinez Building, 2600 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, FL.
Comments on the proposed rules should be forwarded via email to the Rule Manager, William E. Burns, Jr., Bill.Burns@dep.state.fl.us and will be accepted until January 10, 2014, at 5:00 pm eastern. Comments received will be posted to this website on or about January 17, 2014.
