Acceptable drop tube overfill prevention devices
There has been some confusion among both the industry and regulatory community regarding acceptable drop tube overfill prevention devices. Manufacturers’ literature and catalogs frequently have conflicting language relating to their respective device’s application to USTs or ASTs. Most of the confusion relates to drop tubes that will negotiate the narrower fill pipe openings.
To help reduce the confusion, Greg Bareta has developed this reference: Drop Tube Overfill Device Application Table for Class I and II Products. Please read the notes in the reference heading.
